Looking for Science to Answer Radiation Questions

I still don't see the experts on the news answering where exactly the radiation goes when it is "dispersed", while they point to supposed ignorance of people who think it will hit the coast.  The meaning of the word dispersed, means to be spread out over a large area, not disappear, and it's obvious that they believe it may come here if scientific devices are in place to measure existence.  Although it may no longer be in extremely harmful amounts, where exactly does the dispersed radiation go?  Does any of it have the capability to rise to the ozone layer and eventually deplete it?  Does it stay in the air in dispersed amounts or does it always over time mix with rain?  Does it build up in the clouds, or does the rain remove it from the air?  We do know that it travels, is measurable when it rains and falls to the surface, because levels have been measured in affected areas.  Does it ever truly disappear?   How can they believe this is safe to continue to operate like this?   How can they believe this continues to be safe when it has been happening over and over around the planet where there are nuclear plants?  We don't know how long it stays in the air or clouds or where the rain will spit it to the ground or if it can deplete the ozone.  I can't express how much it scares me to continue to operate these kinds of energy producing facilities, and people shouldn't be considered ignorant to have this fear, especially when the "experts" don't have all the answers.  Our president claiming they don't "expect" any danger to people in America, ought to be opening his mind to the true long term dangers of what continuing release of radiation around the world could do to the people and planet.  We must find a cleaner way!
